As a socially and environmentally responsible company, the Company is committed to taking a more sustainable development path for us and future generations while engaged in the carriage & transportation of cargo for our customers.
The promotion of safety and environmental objectives while engaged in cargo carriage & transportation is of particular focus and we will at all times be in compliance with all the regulations laid down by the relevant insurance bodies, international maritime organisations and conventions, such as MARPOL (International Convention for Prevention of Pollution from Ships) and SOLAS (International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea), and key maritime & industry bodies such as ILO, OCIMF, SIGTTO, ICS, INTERTANKO, BIMCO, etc. relevant international and national regulatory requirements, to ensure safe sea transportation of cargo.
The Company also emphasizes its commitment to prevent sanctions evasion, smuggling, criminal activity, facilitation of terrorist activities, and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD). The Company will carry out due diligence as a minimum on below:
The Company’s vessels will not engage in transportation of illegal or prohibited products or carriage of waste materials.
Furthermore, the Company requires all of its vessels engaged in sea transportation of cargo to be classed by a member of the International Association of Classification Societies to ensure the vessels are maintained at all times to international best practices and standards. The Company will ensure compliance through regular ship inspections.
We recognize that any policy is only as good as it is practicable and enforceable and we will engage with our customers and statutory bodies to ensure that this policy is understood and supported.
This policy applies to all employees and contractors employed or working on board vessels, in any capacity, and at the Company’s work places ashore.
